At Studio Allie we manage design projects large and small, from new construction to style updates for past clients and single space remodels. The design process is very individualized and exclusive to each relationship. We feel strongly that designing something as personal as your home should be fun and comfortable. Therefore, we do our best to make the process as enjoyable as possible by tailoring aspects of the process with each client. We do work with certain principles and practices that we have found to be successful through years of experience. It's these that allow us to tailor the process to each client while maintaining the required structure to finish a project on time, in budget, and with timeless, livable, and inventive designs.
IMAGE COLLECTION: The first step with our clients after we have the scope and timeline clearly outlined is to ask them to create a folder of images and items from websites, magazines, favorite hotels and residences, & memories of special items and materials from their past. We ask for this little bit of effort upfront because while we may have a clear idea of a client's needs and wants this is always additionally informative. We find it is also a great exercise for our clients who often learn things about their own taste they were not able to identify before.
VISUAL PRESENTATIONS: We understand and take into account many of our clients hire us because we can see the big picture. We have the ability to take individual materials and pieces and visualize how they will work together to create not just a space but an entire residence. When designing a room we start with a couple key pieces and then display all the additional options compiled in a display to show how they work together as a whole. Clients love this presentation method. It's much more than feeling fabrics and seeing colors; it's seeing it all in one view and being able to see how the forms work with one another.
TRANSPARENCY: A part of our continual effort to make clients enjoy the process is being completely transparent about where materials and pieces come from and what they cost our firm. Any receipts of purchases made by the design firm on behalf of a client are provided during the process. We are proud of the relationships we have made in the business and pass the benefits of those relationships onto our clients.
